Jake is a sixth-generation farmer that has worked mainly with his family business since attending Kansas State University. Farming has taught him all aspects of running a business from a practical standpoint. This, combined with his finance degree, sparked his interest in the valuation aspect of land and real estate. He bought and sold a few properties before realizing he would like to take it to the next level. Discovering Rocking X Land Company, he knew he could gain a lot of knowledge from their experienced realtors. After one year of working for a finance company in Denver, Jake moved back to Kansas to work with his father on the family farm. In conjunction with farming, he runs a pheasant hunting operation that his dad had operated since 1980. They have hunters from all over the United States, including several customers from abroad. As a hunting guide, he became comfortable with being a leader, understanding how to address customer needs, and providing advice to make the experience enjoyable and productive. Born and raised in Sublette, he has a lot of connections in the area and knowledge of Southwest Kansas. His farming and hunting background adds a lot to his understanding of real estate in the region. Although he resides in Kansas, he has bought and sold properties in three different time zones. No project or distance is too big of a challenge for Jake to undertake.
